Select Program
In Group Therapy, the process can take one of two forms known as 'Open Groups' or 'Closed Groups' and both have their pro's and con's. Open Groups allow new people to come into the program at any stage whereas a Closed Group means that the same group of people will go through the program together from start to finish.

The Empowered Recovery Groups program is a Closed Group and the next intake is to be confirmed.
Please note that payment is required in full prior to the start of the program and the deposit is non-refundable.

For those of you who are not aware, my end goal with The TARA Clinic is to open holistic rehabilitation programs for people just released from prison, for families at risk of having their children removed and for young people at risk of going into the juvenile justice system. I fell in love with this population while I was working at Wayback, a community based rehabilitation program for people with forensic histories looking to break the cycle.

SMART Goals are the simplest and most effective tool to use when you want to do something.  Let's use the New Year's Resolution example of "This year I want to get healthy!". Here’s something interesting to think about regarding addiction...

What comes to mind when you hear the word “addiction”? If I were to hazard a guess, I’d say people think of words like drugs, alcohol, junkie, rehab, would never happen to me, criminals, weak, product of their environment, where were the parents... Why do I feel like this?

How a daily gratitude list changed my life.

I thought I had everything that I needed in my life; a stable income, a safe home environment and a loving support network. However I couldn't help but notice that I wasn't feeling happy. Don't get me wrong, I had moments of happiness and excitement however I generally just felt a bit blah...
